Elvin Lazell Daniels, lovingly known to friends and family as "Burkwood," was born on February 3, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. A devoted family man, he cherished every moment spent surrounded by his loved ones. Elvin’s life was a testament to the joys of family togetherness, laughter, and playful moments that filled his days with meaning and love.
He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in the class of 1982, where he laid the groundwork for a life filled with hard work and dedication. Elvin found his professional path working with Texas Instruments (TI), where he took immense pride in his work.
Elvin's playful spirit shone through in all aspects of his life. He was an avid sports fan, often found watching boxing or cheering for his favorite teams, and he enjoyed his time spent at the casino, playing dominoes, and indulging in scratch-offs. Going fishing was another passion of his, where he found peace and contentment in nature's embrace.
On October 29, 2025, Elvin passed away peacefully in Dallas, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Brenensla Jackson, and his children, Chenenzla, Chaquadrick, and Elvin Jackson. Elvin also leaves behind six grandchildren who were the light of his life. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Cherill and Charlotte Daniels, along with his brother, Anthony Daniels.
Elvin is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Daniels, Sr., mother, Patsy Ruth Brown Daniels, and brother, Alvin Daniels, Jr. Their memories will forever be intertwined with his legacy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas on November 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day, November 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.
