Eugene Carl Edwards was born August 31, 1955 to Gloria (Edwards) Fulcher in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Fort Worth. Eugene who was affectionally know as Carl, was the first born to Gloria who preceded in marriage to the late Q. T. Fulcher raising him in Fort Worth.
Carl accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater North Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX under the leadership of the late Rev. Clay Wright. Where he remained a member for many years, until relocating to Como First Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, under the leadership of Rev. Kenneth Jones Jr., with his wife, where they remain members.
Carl attended public schools and graduated from the historic I. M. Terrell High School. He worked at Ranch Style Beans early on in his career, he continued his employment there as a cook, until he retired. His hobbies consisted of spending time with his family, singing and playing his beloved piano. He served honorable in the US Army.
Carl transitioned into rest on July 23, 2018, in Fort Worth, TX. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. He leaves to cherish his memories with his devoted wife of 8 years Latricia Ann Edwards of Fort Worth, TX. His beloved mother Gloria (Edwards) Fulcher, of Fort Worth, TX. Two sons Sidney Hart and Eugene Tremaine Edwards both of Fort Worth, TX; brothers, Terry Edwards and Jeff (Sharon) Miles; sisters, Barbara Smith and Carla (Pastor Steven Pace, Sr) all of Fort Worth, TX; father-in-law, Jimmy Finley Sr., brother and sister-in law, Jimmy Finley Jr. and Yolanda Finley all of Fort Worth, TX and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Carl was proceeded in death by his sister, Vertie Edwards.
