Florence Durham, born on February 9, 1943, in McKamy, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Florence was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with her funny and sassy personality. She was known for her candidness and her unwavering faith in God, which guided her through life’s many adventures.
Florence dedicated a significant part of her career to management in the hospitality industry, where she excelled as a supervisor in a hotel setting. Her work ethic and leadership qualities left an enduring impact on her colleagues and guests alike. Beyond her professional life, Florence was deeply invested in her community and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including making quilts, sewing, cooking, and engaging in word puzzles. She found joy in attending the senior citizens center, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her warmth with others.
A woman of strong family values, Florence cherished her husband and took immense pride in her grandchildren, who were among her proudest accomplishments. Her commitment to family was evident in everything she did, and she instilled love and laughter wherever she went.
Florence will be honored with a Wake on June 6, 2025, at 7:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held the following day, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Fellowship Church at 1612 Garza Avenue, Dallas, Texas .
Florence Durham will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who knew her.
