FRANCES LORRAINE ROQUEMORE

April 4, 1952 — December 13, 2023

Frances Lorraine Roquemore, known affectionately to her loved ones as Fran, has left this world on December 13, 2023, and bids farewell to a life full of passion and love. Born on April 4, 1952, in Wellington, Kansas, Fran was a beacon of light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Starting her career at Heart to Heart Hospice, Fran dedicated herself to providing comfort and support to those in need. Her nurturing nature shone through as she cared for her patients and became an integral part of their lives. Colleagues and friends often remarked on her loving and tender disposition, recognizing the impact she had on not only the patients but also their families.

Beyond her professional life, Fran possessed an adventurous spirit that radiated vibrantly. She would embark on spontaneous journeys, always seeking new experiences and creating unforgettable memories along the way. Known for her fun-loving personality, she was a joyous presence at gatherings and events, lighting up the room with her infectious laughter.

One particular passion that Fran held close to heart was football. A devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints, she maintained unwavering support for her team through thick and thin. Whether it was cheering excitedly from the stands or passionately discussing game strategies with fellow enthusiasts, Fran's love for football knew no bounds.

Not only did she have a deep appreciation for sports, but Fran also possessed an intellectual curiosity that propelled her towards higher education. She attended Prairie View A&M University where she pursued studies in agriculture science and English literature—a testament to her diverse interests. Moreover, she continued to expand her knowledge by delving into health care law at the University of Oklahoma in 2018.

Fran's big heart extended beyond professional achievements and academic pursuits; it encompassed every aspect of her life. An immensely loving individual, she held a special place in people's hearts, cherishing her friendships and nurturing them like a gentle breeze. She prioritized the well-being of those around her, always offering a kind word or lending a helping hand when needed.

Fran's warmth and affection reached to the depths of her family and community. She was grateful for the love and support of her parents, Dr. Charles Ray and Allise Mildred Roquemore, as well as her brother, Charles Roquemore Jr., who were sources of unwavering encouragement throughout her journey.

In addition to her immediate family, Fran leaves behind a vast network of friends who will forever commemorate her memory. Among these are many cherished individuals and the New Orleans Saints football team, both of whom shared in the joy she found in being part of their lives.

While our hearts ache with the loss of such an extraordinary soul, let us also take solace in celebrating Fran's vibrant spirit that illuminated our lives. Her legacy will forever be remembered through the love she gave selflessly and abundantly. Fran's presence may have departed from this earthly realm, but her essence will forever be etched in our hearts—a lasting reminder of the impact one remarkable person can have on the lives they touch.

On behalf of all who mourn Fran's loss and honor her memory, we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May you find solace in the cherished memories you shared with Fran and draw strength from knowing how much she adored each and every one of you. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
