Ms. Freddie Washington lived to be 78 years old before passing away from natural causes.
In her professional life she held several cashier and customer service positions, eventually rising to the role of assistant manager at a local thrift store in her hometown. She prided herself on being accurate, friendly and organized and her employers and coworkers always respected her for these qualities.
Perhaps her greatest legacy is the impact she made on her children. Whether given to her by birth or by marriage, she loved all her children completely. She poured herself out to nurture and guide them in their formative years. With a high school education, creativity and love, she raised nine children who went on to become self-sufficient, productive members of society.
She used her poise, discernment and boundless love to be a tailor, a cook, a nurse, a counselor, a negotiator and all-around wonderful mother.
In her sunset years she renewed her commitment to Jesus Christ and encouraged her family to be obedient to the Lord.
Her presence was a blessing to many and she will be dearly missed.
