GEORGE DAVIS

May 19, 1956 — November 3, 2021

George Lee Davis was born on May 19, 1956, to his loving parents Catherine Morgan and Nelson Davis who, proceeded him in death. Along with his sister Patsy Davis and second wife Debra Shivers.

George had high aspirations in life and a zest for the open road. He obtained his CDL license and maintained a career as a cross-country truck driver until his health would not permit him to do so. One of his greatest joys was the birth of his ten children: LaToya Davis, George Davis, Machelle Davis (Willie), Judy Marshall (Mario), George K. Shivers (Marnesha), Brandon Davis (Jacklyn), Mercedes Davis (Charmain), Candis Davis, Joshua Davis (Desiree) and Tyrell Duckett. When George was not on the road, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching thriller/murder mysteries, and listening to music. Some of his favorite shows included Judge Judy and Sunday football watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Although his soul was willing, his body succumbed to his illness, during the early morning hours of November 3, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memories include his long-term friend, Annette Banks. His aunt Joyce Cooper, sisters Brenda Thomas Juliah Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Mary White. Along with his first wife Machelle Tolbert, nephew and friend Alzie (AD), his children and Thirty-one grandchildren Kiana(Matthew), Eric, Egypt, Gabrielle, Solomon, Langston, Serenity, Micah, Elijah, Caden, Cadence, Derrick, Billy, B’Shala, Dre’Qualin, Kiroshawn, Saniya, Avery, Kylie, Khloe, Kamora, Kendall, Kayla, Mackenzie, Malik, Alona, Alexis Morgan, Mercedes jr, Rylan, Javon, Ellah.
