George Allen Hillary, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this world on September 1, 2025, in Richardson, Texas, leaving a profound impression on all who knew him. Born on November 28, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, George grew up surrounded by a vibrant family atmosphere that shaped him into the caring and loving person he was.
A skilled laborer by trade, George dedicated himself to his work with the same passion that he poured into his family life. As his sister would fondly say, he was a "full-time brother," always ready to lend a helping hand and provide support to his loved ones. His outgoing personality was complemented by his generous spirit, and he was often described as protective and caring, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
George had an incredible love for his family, and his heart swelled with pride and joy for his nieces and nephews: Tonya Rene Hillary, Shauntae Hillary, Earnest Hillary, Marlon Hillary and his wife, Corey Hillary, and Nichollette Hillary-Titus. He cherished every moment spent with them, sharing laughter and creating memories that will endure for years to come. His biggest smile was a testament to the joy he found in their presence.
A graduate of Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School and James Madison High School, George developed interests that reflected his multifaceted personality. He was an ardent football fan, proudly supporting the Dallas Cowboys, and he enjoyed riding his bicycle. In quiet moments, he found solace in reading books and unraveling challenges posed by puzzles, many of which now grace the walls of his sister Mary's home. Above all, George valued peace and reflection, often taking time to meditate and contemplate life.
George's absence will be felt deeply by his siblings: Ethel Washington, Joan Hillary, Mary Jo Ragsdale, Derek Glen Adkins, and Alfonso Bluitt (Lucille). They, along with a host of family and friends, will carry forward the spirit of his kindness and generosity. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Hillary, Sr.; his mother, Hazel Jean Belcher Hillary; his uncle, Elmer Hillary; his sister, Linda Joyce Hillary; his brother, Donald Ray Hillary, Sr.; and his nephew, Donald Ray Hillary, Jr. Although he is no longer with us, the love he shared and the memories created will forever nurture our hearts.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate George’s life at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (Allene) on September 11, 2025. A viewing will be held from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, where loved ones will gather to honor a man whose life was marked by love and devotion.
George AllenHillary may have left this earth, but his legacy of generosity, laughter, and love will remain with us, reminding us to cherish each other and find joy in the simple moments of life. Rest in peace, dear George, until we meet again.
