Born on September 24, 1945, in the vibrant city of Shreveport, Louisiana, Gloria exemplified dedication and loyalty throughout her remarkable life.
A devoted wife for 60 loving years, Gloria stood steadfastly beside her husband, Earnest Freeman along with her son Kerry Freeman and her daughter, Angela Freeman and her stepdaughter, Harise Butler, both of whom preceded her in death. Together, they created a bond that withstood the tests of time, a testament to their unwavering commitment to one another. Her spirit radiated warmth, and she was the embodiment of a true friend, never meeting a stranger, always welcoming, and ready to extend kindness, laughter, and a helping hand.
Gloria's passions were as plentiful as the blooms in her cherished garden, where she cultivated not only flowers but also vegetables, nurturing life in every imaginable way. Her love for cooking filled the air with enticing aromas, most notably her beloved Honeybun Cake, a delicious creation that never failed to delight family and friends alike. A true epicurean at heart, her kitchen was a sanctuary where love was infused into every dish, creating memories to be savored.
Beyond her culinary talents, Gloria had an adventurous spirit, often seeking out new places and experiences through traveling.
