Graduating from I. M. Terrell High School in Fort Worth, Texas, Gloria carried with her a playful spirit and an infectious, outgoing personality. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying classic western films or engaging in spirited card games of spades. Family gatherings were her sanctuary, where laughter and love intertwined, nurturing bonds that will forever be cherished. Gloria was particularly proud of her 15 great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her unwavering love.
Throughout her years working with children, Gloria stood as a pillar of kindness and support, shaping the lives of countless families. Each child felt her genuine love and encouragement, which fostered an environment where they could thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Her compassionate heart left an enduring mark on those she encountered, and her laughter brought warmth and joy, creating memories that will echo through time.
Gloria’s legacy is not only embedded in her professional achievements but also resonates deeply in the community she touched, illuminating hearts with her joyful spirit. She is survived by her loving grandkids, Franklin A. Williams, Marcus D. Williams, and Gregory L. Williams, along with her cherished 15 great-grandchildren. Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Minnie Ola Edward; her father, George Washington Gilliard; and her son, Franklin Alonzo Sanchez.
