GLORIA JEAN GREEN

Gloria Jean Green, a beloved homemaker, has passed away at the age of 83. She was born on January 7, 1940, and left this world on January 2, 2024, at her home in Richardson, TX.

Gloria will always be remembered for the joy and love she brought to her family and friends. Her warm and outgoing personality made her the life of every gathering. She possessed an undeniable sense of humor that could light up any room. Gloria had a special talent for speaking her mind with honesty and kindness. Her talkative nature ensured that no moment was ever dull when she was around.

Growing up in Carterville, TX, Gloria she attended Fairview High School  She united with the Mt Moriah Baptist Church where she laid the foundations for a life filled with love and compassion.  After completing her education, she was united with Cecil E. Green Sr., where she dedicated herself entirely to her family. Gloria's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and husband.

In her leisure time, Gloria indulged in activities that brought her immense pleasure. She had an impeccable sense of style and loved dressing up for any occasion. Family time held a special place in Gloria's heart as she relished creating fond memories with her loved ones. Online shopping was another favorite pastime of hers - always on the hunt for treasures to enrich her home.

Gloria had an innate talent for interior decorating and took great joy in beautifying her surroundings. But perhaps one of the things that truly brought her happiness was looking at family photos. Every picture captured a cherished moment or a loving smile that reminded Gloria of the beauty of life.

One of Gloria's fondest memories was a vacation fishing trip in Lake of the Pine—an experience that filled her heart with joy and tranquility. She adored flowers and took pleasure in bringing their beauty into her home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mertha Haskins, stepfather, J.P. Haskins, and brother, Fred Spignor, and son Kelvin L Green.

 
Gloria Jean Green is survived by her children , Curtis Green(Keelie),of Fort Worth, TX  Cecil E. Green(Shina), of Waco, TX and Lula Green, of Dallas, TX—each of whom was a source of immense pride and joy for her. 
Additionally, Gloria leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren: Deshundra Green, Crystal Green, Curtis Green Jr., Lamon R. Green, Cecil Green Jr., and great-grandchildren Ayden Stone, Triston Stone, Rhyan Smith, and Karter Golson; brother, Rayford Stephens.  The love and bond shared among this family is a testament to the beautiful life Gloria built.

The services honoring Gloria's life will take place at the Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory located at 4155 S R.L. Thornton Fwy in Dallas, TX 75224. A Wake  Service will be held on January 12, 2024, starting at 8:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life on January 13, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am  at Word of Life Church, 1305 Eulane Drive , Mesquite, TX 75149

Gloria Jean Green touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace as her memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
