GREGORY THOMPSON

Dec 27, 1963 — Sep 9, 2026

Gregory Thompson, lovingly known as “Mistey,” passed away on September 9, 2026, in Northlake, Texas. He was born on December 27, 1963, in Dallas, and his life was marked by a steady warmth that drew people close and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

A graduate of Kimball High School’s Class of 1982, Gregory carried himself with a mild manner that made others feel at ease. He loved being around people and was known as a caring and dependable presence in the lives of family and friends. Whether through quiet kindness or simply showing up when needed, he gave of himself in ways that will be long remembered. Above all, his love for his family stood at the center of his life and remains one of the clearest and most cherished memories he leaves behind.

He is survived by his mother, Burnell Thomspson; his sister, Tonia-Michelle (Mitch) Ames; his brother-in-law, Thomas Ames; and his nieces, Jordyn Ames and Courtney Ames. In their circle, Gregory’s presence was a source of comfort, connection, and affection, and his memory will continue to live on in the love they shared with him and in the bonds that remain among them.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Anthony Thompson, and by his grandmother, Louella Tanner.

Gregory “Mistey” Thompson will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of people, and the dependable care he gave so freely. His life leaves behind a quiet but enduring legacy of family devotion, kindness, and presence. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
