Grover Curtis Daniels was born June 16, 1943, in Dallas, Texas; he was the second child of five children born to the parentage of Carl Daniels Jr. and Mildred (Green) Daniels. Grover was affectionally called “Brother” by his family and close friends.
Grover received his formal education in Dallas ISD, where he attended James Madison High School. Grover accepted Christ early in life and attended The Church of the Living God, where his mother Mildred played an active role.
Grover was employed at Morton Foods for several years, and Dallas Brush and Chemicals as a truck driver before working 10 years as a mechanic at Rambo’s which was his passion. He retired from Facility Maintenance were he had the opportunity to work at the Texas Motor Speedway.
If you ever had a conversation with Grover, you would know that he had a deep affection for his 66 Chevy 2 that he had in his younger years because you were going to hear all about it. He also was had an affection for his 1972 Monte Carlos and he owned several over the years. Grover cherished moments with his loved ones and having a good time with family and friends. At one point he even owned a Pool Hall/Game room in West Dallas. He could hold a conversation with you about almost anything and would have a funny story to go along with it. He was always positive, kind and caring, if he could help you he would, if he had it you had it, but he didn’t play, he was a real one, he was going to tell you how it is. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
