HAYDEN KATHRYN PARR

Hayden Kathryn Parr, aged 73, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on July 21, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas, Hayden led a life marked by passion, resilience, and a profound love for animals and her circle of friends.

Hayden went to the University of Arkansas where she proudly became a member of Chi Omega fraternity and earned her undergraduate degree. She later earned her MBA from the University of Dallas. She built a successful career as a real estate broker, notably negotiating leases for gate spaces for Southwest Airlines. Her professional acumen was matched by her ethical standards and dedication to fair dealings.

Beyond her professional life, Hayden was a fervent supporter of animal rescue, contributing tirelessly to the cause. She was also known for her passion for both opera and football. Hayden was always up for an adventure, whether it was visiting estate sales, exploring open houses, or traveling to new destinations.

Her personal life was enriched by deep connections with those she loved. Hayden is survived by her life partner, Fred James of more than 35 years. Hayden was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Martha Parr, and her sister, Martha Ann Parr. Known for her loyalty and humor, Hayden made friends everywhere she went, touching lives with her caring nature and her ability to make every conversation about others and not herself.

A service to celebrate Hayden's life will be held at the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Chapel (9800 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75230) on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hayden’s memory can be made to Lost Paws Rescue of Texas (P.O. Box 116256, Carrollton, TX 75011), reflecting her lifelong commitment to animal welfare.
