Hazel Hatley passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 81.
A graduate of Madison High School in Dallas, Texas, Hazel carried through life the qualities that defined her so deeply. She was loving, caring, funny, helpful, and a provider for her family. Those who knew her will remember the warmth she gave so freely, the laughter she brought into everyday moments, and the steady way she cared for the people around her.
One of Hazel’s greatest passions was taking care of foster children. That calling reflected the heart of who she was. She gave comfort, guidance, and compassion in ways that made a lasting difference, opening her life to others with generosity and love. Her family and friends will remember her as someone who devoted herself to caring for people and making sure those around her felt supported.
Hazel leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory with deep love. She is survived by her sons, Anthony Fisher and Edward Fisher, her sisters, Katherine Leonard and Wanda Leonard, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 nephews, and 3 nieces. In their lives, and in the lives of so many she touched through her kindness and care, her memory will continue to live on.
Hazel Hatley will be remembered with affection and gratitude for the love she shared, the humor she carried, and the many lives she helped along the way. Her presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
