Herbert leaves behind his wife, Carol; a son, Frederick and Justin, Kelly and Kurt whom he loved and protected as his own; grandchildren, Chloe, Aeroile, Alexis and Jenesis; siblings, Joyce Whittsett, Rose Peters, Michael and Joseph Smith; one aunt, Constance Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
