Hesper Leo Wilson, Jr. (Pancho) was born on February 16, 1958, to Hesper Leo Wilson, Sr. and Melba Clayborn in Fort Worth, Texas. He was introduced to Christ and baptized as a young child. Hesper attended Amon Carter Riverside High School, where he was a star athlete on the basketball team. Hesper was a 1976 graduated of Amon Carter Riverside High School where he received a full basketball scholarship. After graduating he attended college and later joined the U. S. Army. Hesper proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1984, stationed primarily in Frankfurt, Germany. He was known as an accomplished basketball player and remained a sports fan all of his life.
He met and married Sibylle while stationed in Germany. Hesper and Sibylle lived in Germany where they raised their family and later moved back to the United States. The couple had two children together, Gary and Domenique Wilson.
Hesper later met and married Cynthia Lang in Fort Worth, Texas. The couple had one child together, Shannon Wilson. Hesper was employed at Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFEES) for many years, and he was also employed at DHL for years until he was unable to work
He was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and all high school football and basketball games. He enjoyed being able to attend the games at stadium or watching them on TV. In his spare time, Hesper enjoyed repairing and remodeling homes.
God led Hesper to Grow In Grace COGIC where he recommitted his life to Christ and became a member. He had a new found love - Jesus Christ. He enjoyed being in church to worship and praise God and to hear the word of God.
Hesper was preceded in death by his father Hesper Wilson Sr., and brother, Terry Wilson. Survivors: Mother: Melba Wilson, estranged wife: Cynthia Wilson, Children: Gary Wilson, Domenique Wilson (Nora), and Shannon Wilson; stepson, Corey Lang; Siblings: Douglas Wilson, Elana Wilson, Vincent Wilson Sr., Timothy Wilson and Dwayne Wilson; one grandchild: Elliana and a host of family and friends.
