JAMAR R WEST, a beacon of resilience and humor, departed this world on February 19, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on October 11, 1980, Jamar made a lifelong impact that resonated throughout his community, as he approached each day with an extraordinary vigor that defied the circumstances life threw his way.

Driven by an unyielding spirit, Jamar embraced every challenge, pouring his heart into his work as a warehouse man. He embodied the essence of hard work, showcasing a tenacity that inspired those around him. His gentle spirit exuded warmth, augmented by a humor that could light up the darkest of rooms. A true jokester at heart, his love for laughter was only rivaled by his fierce loyalty to his friends and family.

Jamar’s educational journey led him through the halls of South Oak Cliff High School, from which he graduated in 1999. His passion for sports found a home on the football field, where he excelled, playing at the collegiate level until injuries redirected his path. Yet, even in the face of adversity, he remained a dedicated fan, celebrating with fervor the victories of his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. Whether enveloped in the thrill of a live game or relishing the excitement of a car show, Jamar's enthusiasm was infectious, touching the hearts of everyone who joined him in pursuit of shared passions.

In his free time, Jamar delighted in life’s simple pleasures—watching sports and savoring delicious meals that brought friends together. Every gathering was an opportunity for connection, a chance to share stories and create memories that would linger long after the final bite.

The funeral service will follow on March 12, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at the same location.
