Born in Dallas, Texas, on January 18, 1951, James was known for his unwavering dedication to his work and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him. A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, he embarked on a career with the United Way where he was recognized as a dedicated employee, always willing to do what needed to be done.
James was a true child of God, exemplifying warmth and kindness in every interaction. He had a penchant for humor and was often regarded as a jokester among his friends and family, using his wit to lighten any mood. As a family man, he cherished his loved ones above all else and was known for never having met a stranger, instantly forming connections with everyone he encountered.
In addition to his generous spirit, James had a wide array of hobbies that showcased his zest for life. He relished the thrill of playing semi-professional football and baseball and maintained a commitment to staying in shape through weightlifting and gardening. His love for cooking, particularly barbecuing, was shared with family and friends, creating cherished memories around the dinner table.
James will be deeply remembered for his profound impact on those around him. A visitation in memory of James will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224, on May 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Sat - May 31, 2025 at Marsalis Ave MBC. - Dallas, Texas
