JAMES LAWRENCE PHILLIPS JR

James Lawrence Phillips Jr., born on September 21, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, departed this life on February 15, 2026. James leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an enduring spirit that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

James was a man of many admirable qualities; he was very outgoing, kind, and loving. Known affectionately as "Superman" by his devoted wife, he possessed a warmth that was as genuine as it was infectious. A man who loved his family deeply, James excelled in his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. His devotion to his family served as the cornerstone of his life, and his nurturing spirit was a source of comfort and support to those he adored.

In addition to his familial commitment, James was known for his sense of humor and the ability to bring joy to those around him. He had a unique talent for practical jokes, always finding ways to elicit laughter and brighten the day of those fortunate enough to share in his company. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, James wore his team spirit with pride, often engaging in spirited discussions about the game.

James was also a God-fearing Christian man, whose faith provided him with strength and guided him throughout his life. His positive outlook and unwavering belief in the goodness of people influenced many, leaving a lasting impression on friends and acquaintances alike.

The family invites those wishing to pay their respects to attend the viewing on February 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service will follow on February 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas JOHN CHAPEL
