James instilled in his children the importance of success, guiding them through life's challenges with unwavering support and encouragement.
James was a dedicated member of his community, where he actively participated in his church and embraced his role as a citizen with palpable pride. He had an undeniable passion for enjoying life to its fullest. His interests were varied and colorful; he took great delight in keeping cars spotless, a testament to his meticulous nature. In addition, James enjoyed watching his favorite television shows, particularly Family Feud and Gunsmoke, which brought joy to many evenings spent at home with his family. He was also a fervent Dallas Cowboys fan, showcasing his unwavering support for his team.
One of the joys of James's life was fishing, where he found peace and relaxation amidst nature. His love for drag racing stirred a sense of adventure within him, and he often spoke fondly of the thrill it brought. Traveling was another passion; the journeys he took allowed him to create cherished memories with those he loved.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on September 11, 2025, at St. John Unleashed, located at 1701 West Jefferson St, Grand Prairie, Tx. The service will begin at 11:00 AM. James Willie Thompson leaves behind a legacy that will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
