JANSSEN EUGENE ROUNDTREE, born on March 25, 1965, in Bonham, TX, departed this life in Harrisburg, PA. His journey in life was marked by dedication and loyalty, both in his personal and professional spheres.
A member of the Class of 1983 in Bonham, TX, Janssen devoted 21 years of his life to his career as a truck driver. His work ethic was exemplary, reflecting his commitment to providing for his family, which he held dear to his heart. Janssen’s love for his wife, Joshlan, and children—daughters Khyla and Javia Roundtree, and son Jarrell Roundtree—was evident in every aspect of his life. His proudest accomplishments included not only providing for his family but also purchasing his first truck and cherishing the love he shared with Joshlan, as well as the birth of daughter.
Janssen was known for his humorous and humble nature. Friends and family described him as a laid-back individual who could light up any gathering, making him the life of the party. His personality embodied a perfect blend of fun and hard work, and he was always seen as a devoted family man who relished time spent with loved ones.
In addition to his professional achievements, Janssen enjoyed various hobbies and interests that reflected his lively spirit. He loved bowling, shooting pool, and playing basketball, particularly as a fan of the Golden State Warriors. He was also an avid football enthusiast who proudly supported the Buffalo Bills.
Preceded in death by daughter, Kherra. and his parents. Kenneth Roundtree and Opal Mason Cross.
Janssen is survived by his loving wife, Joshlan; daughters, Khyla and Javia Roundtree; son, Jarrell Roundtree; two brothers, Kenneth and Maurice Roundtree; and five sisters, Lisa, Sonja, Kenna, Natasha, and Misty. The memories of his dedication, loyalty, and love for his children will forever remain in the hearts of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 8, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-ALLENE, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224, from 3:00 PM .
Janssen Eugene Roundtree will be remembered not only for his work and accomplishments but also for the beautiful memories he created and shared with his family and community.
