J.C. Moore was born July 26, 1930 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Jettie Lee Alexander and Nelson Moore, both preceded him in death.
He served in the United States Army, and upon his discharge he returned home to Magnolia, Arkansas where he met and married his loving wife Essie Jackson-Moore. They moved to Dallas, TX where he worked in construction for many years, and then Occidental Chemical Company where after 25 years he retired.
J.C. departed this earthly life on July 13, 2020. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Essie Moore of 60 years, his stepfather John Alexander, two brothers, O.D. Jamerson and Lovell Moore, and one sister Mary Copeland.
He is survived by is loving children: Diann Moore-Rose (James), James Curtis Moore (Carolyn) and Ernest Wayne Moore (Jocelyn); one sister, Jessie Burley; two brothers, Fred Alexander of Magnolia, Arkansas and Clarence Alexander of Dallas, TX; sisters-in-law, Nettie B. Hildreth, Gracie Jackson, Vivian Jackson, and Alvon Jackson; five grandchildren, Eresah Carr (Percy), Brian Williams, Amber Moore, Ashley McCuin and James Alexander; two great granddaughters, Erica Williams and Joy'dan Williams; two great great granddaughters, Amariyah (Love) and Skylar Ivory Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews and special family friends who loved him.
He will be loved, missed and never forgotten.
