Jessie Lamont Jackson, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Dallas at the age of 51. He was born on February 1, 1975, in Dallas.
Jessie will be remembered as an awesome preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a cherished brother. His life was centered on faith, family, and service to others. He loved preaching and brought that calling into the lives of many, offering encouragement, strength, and guidance through his words and example.
He also gave of himself in other meaningful ways, including coaching football, where he shared his time, leadership, and care with those around him. Outside of his work and ministry, Jessie found joy in some of the things he loved most: bar-b-queing, baking, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. These interests reflected his warm spirit and the way he connected with family, friends, and community.
Above all, Jessie’s proudest accomplishment was his love for his family. That love shaped his life and will remain a lasting part of his memory. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation for Jessie Lamont Jackson will be held on October 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. Funeral service will be held on October 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at New Independent M.B.C., 3236 East Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75216.
