On April 2, 1939, the Lord blessed Emma and Oscar Manoy with their first child, Jewel Dean Manoy. It was on February 20, 2025 she was called home.
Jewel grew up in Chandler, Texas, in the Antioch Community. She attended Central High School in the Brownsboro School District and attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Jewel met and Married Roy James March on October 19, 1953. Six children were born to this union. One lost shortly after birth. They were married for forty-seven years. After his death, she continued to lovingly assist and support her children and grandchildren in any way she could. She loved her family and extended family; Making many huge, savory, and mouthwatering dinners and barbecues for them. She was fulfilled and happy when she was caring for others.
Jewel was a member of New Leaf Missionary Baptist Church, where she adored her pastor’s teachings but, most of all, his preaching.
Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Roy James March; baby daughter, Carol Ann, Lillie March, Brenda March and Gwendolyn March; three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, James March and Roy (Tonya) March; six grandchildren, Corey, Troy, Kendrick Jamal March. Roycee Clines & Brittany March; seven great-grandchildren, RoyDarrine, Raydon, Ryan, Jaxon, Kierra, KeAndre, Aiden, Jamari, and Ryleigh; two brothers, Al (Dorothy) Manoy and Frank (Ruby) Manoy, of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Gloria (Woodrow) Hayter of Tyler, Texas, and Glenda Turner of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law Irma Manoy; many nieces and nephews, beloved first cousins, cousins, and friends.
