His passions were an extension of his larger-than-life personality. As devoted fan, Jimmie found excitement and inspiration watching boxing matches. The thunder of hooves at the horse races called to his adventurous soul, while Saturdays were committed to cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, where the roar of the crowd matched his own passionate spirit. Jimmie also earned a special place in the hearts of those who gathered around his grill, where he reigned supreme as the Grill Master. His culinary skills were yet another expression of his joyful, giving nature—a provider of nourishment as well as comfort to those lucky enough to share his table.

In celebrating Jimmie's life, visitors are invited to gather at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, TX 75224. A visitation will be held on May 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on May 9, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. These moments will be dedicated to honoring the legacy of a man whose love and buoyant presence enriched every life he touched.
