JOE MICHAEL JACKSON

Joe Michael Jackson was born on March 23, 1956, to the late Herman Lovet Jackson and Naomi Nolley-Jackson. He was the seventh of ten children born into a loving and close-knit family. Joe Michael received his education through the Fort Worth Independent School District and proudly graduated from Dunbar High School in 1974. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Baptist faith, establishing a strong spiritual foundation that guided his life. In 1992, Joe Michael met the love of his life, Ms. Alma Fry. After many years of love, commitment, and companionship they cemented their dedication to one another through holy matrimony on May 27, 2023. Their union was the culmination of 30 plus years of love and devotion that was evident the level of comfort and care that they shared with one another.

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Joe Michael peacefully transitioned into eternal rest, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Lovet Jackson and Naomi Nolley-Jackson; his sisters, Portia Ann Jackson, Barbara "Bobby" Nathaniel, and Mary Diane Solomon; his brothers, James David Jackson and Robin Lovet Jackson; and his grandparents, Nelson Lee and Carrie Nolley, Annie J. Nolley, and Sam and Mary Callie Jackson.

Joe Michael Jackson leaves behind to cherish his precious memory is his devoted wife, Mrs. Alma Fry Jackson; his sister, Lesa Jackson; his brothers, Sammie Nelson, Donald Ray Jackson, and Johnnie Wade Jackson; his special niece/ “daughter”, Tracy Jackson Smith, his beloved stepchildren, Angelois Allen, Thomas Fry, Keith Fry, and Jessica Fry; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him.

Joe Michael will always be remembered for his unwavering love for the Dallas Cowboys, his warm heart, infectious smile, spirited personality, and his legendary gift for friendly competition at the domino table. He had a remarkable ability to make others laugh and bring joy wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
