JOHN HARRELL WASHINGTON

John Harrell Washington, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Dallas. He was born on October 18, 1956, in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Washington’s life began and ended in the city he called home, and he will be remembered with respect by all who knew him. His passing marks the loss of a man whose presence was part of the Dallas community across the years.

John was a graduate of South Oak Cliff High School.   Class of 1975.   He was a great football player.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 444 West Ledbetter Drive, Dallas, Texas 75224. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 1311 Murdock Road, Dallas, Texas 75217.
