JONATHAN WILLIAMS

On May 17, 1993, Walter Jefferson “Jeff” Williams and the late Yolanda Evanne Williams were overjoyed to welcome a healthy baby boy into their growing family. They named him Jonathan David Williams. Big Sister Alexis Monique Bennett was so excited to have a baby brother. Paternal grandmother Bettie Olomola and maternal grandparents Robert and Mary Garraway were equally excited to welcome baby Jonathan to their family. As a young boy, Jonathan like so many young boys loved playing basketball with his friends at the local recreation center. He grew to love the LA Lakers. As Jonathan grew into becoming a young man, he was known as a jokester and never met a stranger—he loved talking and could talk about almost anything for hours. Friends and family will really miss those conversations with Jonathan. Jonathan had such an easy-going nature which won him over many close friendships with family and friends. On March 2, 2008, Jonathan was baptized and became a dedicated servant to Jehovah God. He had a great quest for knowledge of the Bible and enjoyed studying and preparing for oratorical presentations at the Kingdom Hall. Jonathan along with Alexis spent hours studying the Bible with their mother. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, just weeks prior to his high school graduation, Jonathan lost his devoted mother, Yolanda, who was also his best friend. After graduating from Duncanville High School in 2011, Jonathan briefly attended Richland College. Eventually, he pursued a career in sales. This was so fitting for his warm personality as he enlisted his joy of meeting new people and sharing knowledge. Eventually, Jonathan left sales and began working construction. However, Jonathan never stopped being the jokester and a kind and passionate young man whom his friends and family had come to love so dearly
