JUANITA FAYE BLANCHARD

June 20, 1963 — December 27, 2023

Juanita Faye Blanchard, a beloved member of her community, passed away on December 27 2023, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on June 20, 1963, in Rockwall, TX. Juanita was a remarkable woman whose life was marked by love, dedication, and unwavering faith.

Juanita's passion for education led her to a career spanning over 25 years in the Dallas Independent School District until 2009. Following her time in the school district, she devoted herself to Taylor Nursing in Jacksonville, FL. Whether she was shaping young minds or caring for patients, Juanita approached every interaction with kindness and compassion.

One of Juanita's fondest memories was the first time she held her granddaughter Madison. Her loving and nurturing spirit radiated with joy as she embraced the role of grandmother. Juanita took immense pride in seeing her family grow and was especially proud when her son Charleston became a father. No matter what challenges life presented her with, Juanita always faced them with a smile.

Juanita's husband Edward fondly remembers her mantra: "Life is what you make it; make it happen." This philosophy guided their marriage and helped them find balance through all of life's ups and downs. Edward cherishes the memories they shared together and will forever hold Juanita's uplifting spirit close to his heart.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Juanita valued education and understood its power to transform lives. Yet, it was not just her intellect that set Juanita apart; it was also her gentle nature and humble demeanor. She possessed a soft-spoken voice that captured everyone's attention when she spoke from the heart.

Juanita wore many hats throughout her life – from being a dedicated mother to becoming a prayer warrior for those in need. Her love knew no bounds as she extended kindness to all who crossed her path. With an infectious sense of humor, she brought joy and laughter to every gathering, making her an absolute delight to be around.

In her free time, Juanita enjoyed solving word search puzzles, finding solace in prayer and immersing herself in the words of God. Family functions held a special place in her heart, as they provided an opportunity for loved ones to come together and create treasured memories. She also found great joy in watching "I Love Lucy," a timeless show that never failed to bring a smile to her face.

Juanita's proudest accomplishments were her beloved sons and adoring grandchildren. She poured all of her love into raising Charleston and Elton, instilling in them values of strength, compassion, and perseverance. Her sons are a testament to Juanita's unwavering dedication.

Left to cherish Juanita's memory are her husband Edward Blanchard; sons Charleston Reed and Elton Reed (father, Charles Reed); grandchildren Madison Callahan, Ra'Niyah Reed, and Scarlett Reed; sisters Carolyn Allen, Billie Allen, and Sandra Sparks; brothers Waymon Allen Jr., Lonnie Allen, and Ronnie Allen; as well as her best friend Velma Arnold.

Juanita Faye Blanchard will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us celebrate the light she brought into our lives and find comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
