Karl Eugene Pitts

Dec 5, 1963 — Nov 1, 2026

Karl Eugene Pitts, born December 5, 1963, passed away on November 1, 2026.

Karl moved through life with warmth, humor, and an easy generosity that made people feel welcome the moment they met him. Funny, loving, and someone who never met a stranger, he carried himself with a spirit that drew others in and made ordinary moments brighter. He will be remembered not only for the way he lived, but for the joy and ease he brought to those around him.

He was a graduate of Texas A&M, where he earned his B.E.D. degree in Bachelor of Environmental Design and went on to work as an architect. His time at Texas A&M also held a memorable distinction: he was a walk-on wide receiver, a reflection of both his determination and his love of challenge.

Karl found happiness in the outdoors and embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He enjoyed riding his bike outside, traveling, and making the most of time spent under an open sky. At home and among those he loved, he was known as a grill master and for making his world-famous favorite tacos, meals that became part of the memories people will always carry with them. He also enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team, the Cubs, and sharing those moments of loyalty and excitement with others.

Above all, Karl’s proudest accomplishment was enjoying time with his family. That simple, steady devotion was at the center of his life. Whether through laughter, conversation, food, or shared adventures, he created the kind of presence that made family time feel fuller and more meaningful.

Karl Eugene Pitts leaves behind a memory marked by humor, kindness, and love. His life was one of connection, welcome, and genuine enjoyment of the people and moments that mattered most. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
