Kathy Elaine Dykes was born on September 24, 1952 to the parents of Samuel and Florine Williams of Dallas, TX. She was the 7th of seven siblings. She holds a special place in our hearts as well as in the Dykes Family.
Kathy attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. Upon graduation, she was a devoted employee at Fletchers Corn Dog Warehouse.
She met Bennie Dykes in 1974 and they were later married.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother as well as a great grandmother and auntie to a host of nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed spending time gardening and watching her favorite movie of all time “Dirty Dancing” as well as just sitting and enjoying her gospel music, and reading her bible.
Those who preceded her in death are her parents, Samuel L. Williams and Florine Williams; her son, Donald Ray Williams; two brothers; one sister.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Bennie Dykes; one daughter, Tracy Johnson (Redrick Johns); nine grandchildren, Kelvin Tashay, Julian, Tiarra, Deonta’, Darius, Noah, Tania, Taylor; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that will cherish her memories. RIP, you will be truly missed.
