KEITH BERNARD JACOBS

September 5, 1969 — March 14, 2026

KEITH BERNARD JACOBS, a beloved maintenance engineer and cherished soul, passed away on March 14, 2026, in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, where his remarkable journey began on September 5, 1969.

Born and raised in Dallas, Keith was a proud graduate of North Dallas High School, Class of 1988. Throughout his life, he was known for a constellation of qualities that defined his essence: sweet, truthful, kind, honest, and loyal. A man of faith, he carried himself with straightforward integrity, often blending a talkative spirit with a deep appreciation for his own personal space. Neat and clean, he took pride in being a fashionable dresser and maintained a life as orderly as the clean truck he loved to care for.

Keith found joy in the simple pleasures of life—playing cards and dominoes, the thrill of the casino, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. These hobbies were not merely pastimes, but threads woven into the fabric of his daily existence. Above all, he treasured his family, a constant source of pride and accomplishment alongside the life-changing gift of receiving a kidney.

He was “one of a kind,” a phrase spoken by many who had the privilege to know him—a man whose presence comforted and whose sincerity inspired.

Keith leaves behind a loving circle of family who carry his memory forward: his devoted wife, Kimberley Jacobs; their son, Jeremy Morris-Jacobs; daughters Kenya Chism-Jacobs and Kyra Chism-Jacobs; stepchildren Dominique Brown (Makesha  Brown), Kasha Brown, and Whitley Brown; his stepfather, Willie Fred Ward; brother Deric Ward; nephew General Ward; aunts Joyce Jacobs, Cammie Smith, Brenda Banks, and Juanita Newman; and uncles Marvin Jacobs, Michael Irvin, and Melvin Jacobs. His life was also enriched by many other family members and friends who adored him deeply.

He now rests alongside those who preceded him, including his mother Irene Ward Jacobs, father Ernest Edwards, siblings Michael and Michelle Ward, and uncles Clifford Jacobs and Larry Williams Sr., their memories entwined forever in his story.

Services to honor Keith Bernard Jacobs's life will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas. A viewing will be held on March 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The burial will occur the same day at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 South R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

As we gather to celebrate Keith’s extraordinary life, we remember a man who lived with unwavering honesty, unshakable loyalty, and boundless kindness. His legacy is etched not only in the hearts of those who loved him but in the quiet moments shared—whether around a card table, watching a game, or simply enjoying the sacred peace of his own personal space. In every sense, Keith Bernard Jacobs was indeed “one of a kind,” and his spirit will forever illuminate the lives he touched.
