KENNETH WAYNE ROBINSON

March 20, 1957 — August 9, 2025

Kenneth Wayne Robinson "Tree" , a cherished figure known for his vibrant spirit and love for life, left this world on August 9, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on March 20, 1957, in Paris, Texas, the son of the late Odell and Mertha Lee Alexander-Robinson. Tree's journey was marked by laughter, friendship, and an unwavering dedication to his family.

A proud graduate of North Lamar High School, Class of 1976, Tree was not just a student but also a spirited athlete who found his stride on the basketball courts of the University of North Texas. His passion for the game was rivaled only by his love for storytelling—those who were fortunate enough to sit with him could attest to his gift as an amazing storyteller. Each tale woven by Tree was filled with laughter and life lessons, captivating hearts and minds alike.

He was a man of many roles—a loving father, a doting grandfather, and an adoring friend to all who crossed his path. Known affectionately as a jokester and a fun-loving individual, Tree created an atmosphere of joy wherever he went. His personality shone brightly, making him not only the favorite of his children and grandchildren but also a beloved figure among friends. He was a protector and provider, always offering a supportive hand or an encouraging word.

Whether he was hanging out with family around the table, cooking a good country breakfast, or engaged in a raucous game of dominoes, Tree filled the air with warmth and camaraderie. His laughter resonated with those he loved, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. He took immense pride in being a "girl dad," and this proudest accomplishment resonated deeply through the love he shared with his daughters.

Tree was also employed by FedEx and loved his time going into the “HUB”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Essie Robinson, seven brothers, Versie Lee, James Thomas, Freddie, WA (Dub), Gary, Jackie, and Tommy Robinson.

He is survived by his three daughters – RaShanda Robinson of Fort Worth, Ashley Robinson of Beaverton, Oregon and Katrina Robinson of Arlington, Texas. brothers – David Robinson, Tommy Joe Robinson, and L. V. Wallace of Paris; sisters – Dorothy Brown (Will) of Terrell, Virginia Jones of Oakland, CA, Linda Robinson of Dallas; also, 7 grandchildren Ryan Newton, Ravyn Newton, Rylan Walton, Ryana Burrell, Destin Robinson, Robinson Conway and Taj Robinson; and a host of relatives, teammates and friends

In remembrance, Kenneth Wayne Robinson will be celebrated not just for the stories he told, but for the legacy of love, laughter, and warm memories he leaves behind. His life was a colorful tapestry of joy woven through the threads of family and friendship, making this world a richer place for having known him.
