In loving memory of KEVIN EUGENE WALLACE, who passed away on December 13, 2025, in Sunnyvale, TX. Born on February 16, 1960, in Palestine, TX, Kevin was a steadfast and devoted man whose laughter and spirit touched all who knew him. A proud member of the Palestine High School Class of 1978, he carried the same determination and dedication into every aspect of his life.
Kevin was not just a hard worker; he was a dedicated father, a loving husband, and a cherished "Pop Pop" to his beloved grandson, Benjamin Davis. He took immense pride in the family he cultivated with his wife, Montia, and his son, Kevin Wallace, Jr. Kevin extended his heart further still to embrace his stepdaughters, Melody Armstrong and Kriston Fielder, forging bonds that would last through the ages.
A jovial jokester at heart, his personality was a blend of warmth and lightheartedness, making him a magnetic presence within his community. Kevin had a profound passion for sports, whether by cheering for his favorite college team, the University of Oklahoma, or reveling in the talent of LeBron James. His enthusiasm transcended boundaries, as he found joy in watching sporting events and supporting teams, always cheering on others regardless of who took the field.
In a world that often accelerated forward, Kevin embodied the values of patience, reserve, and hard work—not just as words, but as a way of living. He was a man who knew how to balance ambition with humor, imparting wisdom and warmth to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Asberry and brother Kennard Derrough.
The viewing service will be held on December 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, TX—a gathering where family and friends can come together to honor a life well-lived.
Kevin Eugene Wallace leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering dedication. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, as he takes his place in the hearts of his family: his wife Montia, his son Kevin Jr., grandchild Benjamin, stepdaughters Melody and Kriston, and sister Kimberly Harris. As we reflect on cherished memories of this remarkable man, we remember him for what he truly was: a loving "Pop Pop," a caring father, a devoted husband, and an irreplaceable friend.
