Kim Perry, a quiet soul who found beauty in simplicity and carried the laid-back ambiance of Texas like no other, passed away on May 5, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Dallas. Born on February 15, 1965, Kim was a lifelong Dallasite, a man whose interests and personality reflected a deep, unpretentious grace. His days were marked by an easy-going spirit, a reserved nature, and a keen eye for GQ fashions that spoke to his understated taste.
Graduating from Carter High School in 1982, Kim’s journey was one of calm resilience. He cherished the simple things in life and found profound joy in hobbies that required focus and patience—rebuilding electronics, and immersing himself in the rugged allure of western movies and series. These passions revealed a layer of his character that was meticulous, thoughtful, and quietly adventurous.
Above all else, Kim's proudest accomplishments were his children—Vincent Perry, Wanda Perry, and Katina Perry—who remain as living testaments to his love and dedication. His family was the center of his world, and his legacy is carried forward by them, along with four grandchildren who brought light and laughter into his life. He was also cherished by his brothers, Corey Perry and Steven Perry, and by his aunt Debra Perry and uncle John Perry. Surrounded by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, Kim’s life was woven into the rich tapestry of those who loved him deeply.
The quiet strength Kim embodied was undoubtedly shaped by his roots. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Perry, as well as his grandfather and grandmother, John Henry Perry and Elouise Perry, whose memories undoubtedly lingered in his heart. He also said goodbye to his uncle Nathan Perry, and cousins Eric Perry, Joyce Perry, Donnell Perry, and Dewayne Perry, all of whom formed an integral part of his family story.
Kim’s loss leaves a hush in the hearts of all who knew him—a pause in life’s familiar melody. Yet, within that silence is an evocative memory of a man who embraced life’s simple pleasures with an easy grace, and who touched the lives around him with gentle quietude and unwavering devotion. As Dallas bids farewell to one of its most unassuming yet profoundly impactful sons, we remember Kim Perry not only for who he was, but for the calm and strength he quietly bestowed upon the world.
