With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we remember and honor Kyeler Jonathan Hunter, a radiant soul whose brief but brilliant life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Born in Dallas, Texas, on October 19, 2005, Kyeler’s journey came to an untimely close on April 22, 2026, also in Dallas, a city that witnessed both his first breath and his last.
Kyeler was many things to many people: an artist with a unique vision, a music producer whose beats and rhythms stirred the soul, a gifted creative mind whose intelligence and sense of humor illuminated every room he entered. Described as a phenomenal and unique person, he was loved by all who met him, a true caretaker and helper whose kindness knew no bounds.
His talents manifested early and vividly; a former football and track athlete, he found joy in motion and competition. Yet, his deepest passions lay in the arts—drawing with a tender hand and rapping with the pulse of his heart, making and listening to music that captured the essence of his spirit. Kyeler’s creative spirit was nurtured through his education, culminating proudly with his graduation from Carter High School in 2025—a milestone he held dear.
Kyeler’s life was enriched by the love and devotion of family and close friends who walked beside him with unwavering support. To his mother, Shericka Hunter-Hashaway, and stepfather, Cedric Hashaway, his father, Brandon Evans, Sr., his brothers—Chris Henry, Kendre McClure, Brandon Evans, Jr.—and sisters Najai Seals and Sha’Leah Evans, he was a beacon of light and hope. His beloved girlfriend, Ranesha Coleman, stood by his side, sharing in the moments that defined his vibrant existence. Kinship extended beyond the immediate circle to include his aunt, Shemika Hunter, uncle Wesley Hunter, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and cherished friends who felt the breadth of his generous heart.
Kyeler’s grandparents, John and Patsy Hunter, preceded him in death, and their memories remain a solemn part of his family’s legacy.
As we prepare to bid farewell to Kyeler, two services will honor his memory and the fullness of his spirit. The Prayer Service will be held on May 1, 2026, from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-JOHN, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas. Following this, the Funeral Service will take place on May 2, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Greater Providence MBC in Dallas.
Kyeler Jonathan Hunter’s departure leaves a void impossible to fill—a creative mind silenced too soon, a heart that beat with generosity and joy, a spirit that touched countless lives. Yet through memories treasured and stories shared, his essence endures. His laughter, his artistry, his music, and the love he gave so freely remain with us, a testament to a life lived authentically and fully, even if too briefly. Rest peacefully, dear Kyeler, forever held in the embrace of those who loved you most.
