It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laquita Renee Johnson, a beautiful soul whose life touched so many with warmth, laughter, and kindness. Born in Dallas, Texas, on November 29, 1981, Laquita remained deeply rooted in her beloved hometown throughout her life, leaving behind a legacy marked by generosity, joy, and an unwavering spirit.

Laquita was known for her infectious smile and her funny, caring nature. She was a very giving person, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer comfort. Her sweetness shone brightest in her role as a devoted daughter, where her love and tenderness were unmatched. She cherished her family above all else, proudest of this bond as the greatest accomplishment of her life.

Professionally, Laquita dedicated herself to helping others as a medical assistant in a hospital setting. She approached her work with passion and love, finding fulfillment in caring for patients and contributing meaningfully to their well-being. Outside of her career, she found delight in simple yet profound pleasures—reading books that sparked her imagination, walking through parks where nature’s calm brought her peace, and enjoying comedy movies that reflected her lively and joyful spirit.

Her heart belonged unquestionably to the Lord and her church community, where her faith was a cornerstone and a source of strength. Laquita's devotion uplifted those around her, and her grace in both good times and challenges stood as a testament to her inner beauty.

Laquita's life journey came to a close in Dallas on April 9, 2026. She leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, but her radiant spirit will forever illuminate their memories.

A visitation to honor Laquita’s memory will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will follow the very next day, Monday, April 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Though we grieve her physical absence, Laquita’s laughter, her kindness, and her faith continue to inspire and uplift us. She lived a life full of love, light, and generosity—a testament to the beautiful soul she was. May she rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord she so dearly loved.
