Lashanda Leatrice Manuel, a vibrant spirit born on March 29, 1969, in the heart of Dallas, Texas, graced this world with her laughter and contagious joy until her departure on May 16, 2025, in Duncanville, Texas. She was a radiant presence, a beacon of strength and humor who touched the lives of all who crossed her path.

She attended A. Maceo High School.   As a dedicated cashier at Chevron Gas Company and a food attendant at the State Fair of Texas, Lashanda embodied the essence of hard work and community service. Her role as a cafeteria food line attendant at Prairie View A & M University further exemplified her commitment to nurturing those around her. With an outgoing disposition and an infectious laugh, she made every interaction feel like a moment worth savoring. Lashanda was known for the warmth she brought to each customer and colleague with whom she interacted, turning mundane moments into cherished memories.

Her love for her sons was profound; they were the stars of her universe, and nothing brought her more pride than their accomplishments. Lashanda devoted her energies to their well-being, ensuring they had every opportunity to shine brightly in life. Through her steadfast support, she instilled in them the values of perseverance and compassion—qualities that undoubtedly reflect her own remarkable character.

Outside of her career and family life, Lashanda thrived in the company of friends, embracing adventures throughout the city with an insatiable curiosity. The great outdoors beckoned to her, and she found joy in exploring the vibrant scenes. Her favorite places to go was the West End downtown Dallas and Big T Bazaar in Oak Cliff,, where camaraderie mingled with her laughter. She was the life of the party, a source of inspiration, and a dependable friend, embodying the spirit of resilience.

Lashanda dedicated time to serving others, offering her loving heart as a volunteer for the Salvation Army—a true testament to her unwavering belief in giving back to the community. Her strong will was coupled with an innate ability to uplift those around her, leaving a lasting impression on the lives she touched.

In her memory, we cherish the moments that defined her—her laughter, her unwavering spirit, and her endless capacity to love.
