Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lavera found joy in the simple things in life. Ironing became an art form for her, while the pages of books and the melodies of songs brought her solace. Engaging in crossword puzzles and enjoying movies were among her cherished pastimes.

One of Lavera's proudest achievements was being a pillar of support as the legal guardian to her nephew Brandon. Her nurturing spirit and selfless devotion have left an indelible mark on those around her.

Family and friends will gather to honor Lavera's memory at Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas, Texas, on March 28, 2024. The viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
