LEORA LEE JONES, born December 7, 1941, in Powell Texas peacefully passed away March 3, 2026, in Dallas, TX. Her life was marked by dedication, perseverance, and enduring commitment to faith and family.
Leora’s career as a licensed real estate agent began in 1977, a testament to her professionalism and determination. Throughout her life, she continually sought personal and educational growth. In 1987, she earned her GED reflecting her desire for educational achievement. She further pursued studies in childcare and child behavior and received her certification at Mountain View College in 1997, demonstrating her deep interest and compassion for the well-being of children. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Leora faithfully served at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, contributing her talents to various ministries. Her perseverance in all things was an inspiration those who knew her.
Leora’s vibrant personality brought joy to many. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, decorating and dancing and had a profound love for all types of music, particularly church musicals, which resonated deeply with her spiritual devotion.
Above all, Leora loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life.
Services to honor Leora Lee Jones be held at Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Visitation will take place on March 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. and a wake service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sat - March 21, 2026, at 12n at the Metropolitan MBC - 1711 Reynoldston - Dallas, Tx 75232. The burial will be take place at Laurel Land Memorial Park 6000 R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75241.
Leora Lee Jones will be remembered with great fondness, steadfast faith, and the love she held for her family and community. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
