Born in Magnolia, Mississippi, Leslie lived a life marked by hard work and a profound commitment to his family and community. He departed from this world on May 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate deeply in the hearts of all who knew him.

Leslie was a man of many professions, a true builder in every sense of the word. Not only did he construct homes for himself, but he also took great pride in building homes for his family members, creating spaces filled with love, warmth, and security. His ability to fix anything was well known; Leslie's hands were skilled and steady, whether he was working on projects around the house or helping neighbors and friends in need. His work ethic was legendary, as was his willingness to lend a hand whenever someone called on him.

Above all else, Leslie was a devoted family man—a protector and provider who placed the needs of those he loved above all. His family was his foundation, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Leslie’s faith was a guiding force throughout his life; he was a God-fearing man whose spirituality offered strength and comfort to those near him.

Leslie was not only committed to work and family but also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, where the calm waters and quiet moments brought him peace. The soulful strains of blues music were a soundtrack to his days, reflecting a deep appreciation for rhythm and life’s emotional depths. Hunting was another pastime he enjoyed, connecting him with nature and tradition.

His presence will be deeply missed, but those who had the privilege to know Leslie will carry forward his spirit of generosity, resilience, and love.

A viewing to honor Mr. Leslie Harness will be held on May 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. The following day, the service will be held at 3:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home.Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate his remarkable life and legacy.
