Lorene Scott was born January 23, 1936 to William Melvin & Nettie V. Allen in Waxahachie, Texas. As the youngest of 3 sisters and a brother, she attended Oak Lawn School, and after graduating she moved to Dallas to start nursing school. She married Bobby Scott in 1965 and had one child. For her career, Lorene obtained her RN License through an internship at a Dallas Psychiatric Hospital where she continued to work for 30 years. From there, she was a longtime Customer Service Tech for Scott’s Mobil Full-Service Station that she co-owned with her husband. As she continued to work well after retirement, she spent ten years as a night Nurse at Park Manor Nursing Home in DeSoto, Texas, and worked 30 plus years as the Manager of a food service booth at the Texas State Fair.
Early on, Lorene served as the Sunday School Superintendent at the Church of the Living God in Dallas, Texas, and later at the Body of Christ Family Church in Red Oak, Texas. She was also an Usher, A Prayer Warrior, and a church Mother. Her lifestyle was about giving to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and middle sister, Eunice Marie.
Lorene leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, Chris Van Scott (Connie) of Red Oak, Texas; sister, Jennell Jones; brother, Melvin Joe Allen (Juanita) of Tolleson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Krystle Caruth, Christian Scott, Chris Scott Jr.; four great grandchildren, Kadence, Kadon, Kingsley and William; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, and people she love and cared deeply for like her own.
