Lorene Vanross, a beloved daughter of Shreveport, Louisiana, and a cherished resident of Glenn Heights, Texas, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on December 29, 1949, in Shreveport, she lived a life marked by warmth, style, devotion, and a spirited presence that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A graduate of Berthune High School in Shreveport, Lorene carried herself with grace and confidence throughout her life. She was a homemaker whose proudest accomplishment was her family, the center of her heart and the enduring work of her hands. In the home she created, love was expressed in countless meaningful ways—in care, in conversation, in beauty, and in the comfort she gave so freely.

Lorene brought joy to everyday life. She loved shopping, decorating, singing, and cooking, and each of these passions reflected her vibrant nature. She had a gift for making spaces feel welcoming and occasions feel special. Whether through a lovingly prepared meal, a beautifully arranged room, or a song lifted in happiness, she shared herself generously with others.

A viewing for Lorene Vanross will be held on September 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. Funeral services will be held on September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship West Baptist Church, 2020 W Wheatland Road, Dallas, Texas 75232. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 South R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75241.
