On Saturday, June 13, 1953, The University of Kansas Medical Center was blessed with the birth of Lucian Palmer Henderson. The youngest son and baby to the family of William H. Henderson Jr. and Margaret L. Brashears- Henderson. Lucian attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High School, and graduated from Lincoln Senior High School Class of 1971. Lucian started working for General Services Administration his Senior Year in High School and worked there for 25 years before retiring in April 1997. Lucian met Anna Fowler June 26, 1992. They were married December 27,1992. To this union there were no children. Lucian moved to Jefferson City, MO where he worked for Lincoln University from May 1997 to November 2002. He furthered his employment to St. Mary’s Medical Center from December 2002 to January 2008. Lucian and Anna returned to Kansas City, MO in January 2008 and he began working for Research Medical Center in March 2008 until his health began to fail him. Lucian’s last job and retirement from Research Medical Center in January 2014. Lucian was a very private, family oriented, sports loving person. Monday Night RAW, Thursday Night Smackdown, WWE, The Kansas City Chiefs, The Kansas City Royals, and last but not least the Los Angeles Lakers. Lucian wasn't a big talker, but he would talk to the extreme about the love of sports. Lucian also loved music, especially Marvin Gaye. Lucian’s delicacy was hamburgers. You had to be a very bad cook to mess up a hamburger for Lucian. Lucian was preceded in death by both of his parents, brothers, Robert and William Henderson, sisters Karen McDonald and Barbara Hamm, nephews, Kieth McDonald, Elliot Hamm, a very special brother in law, Jack Gipson. Lucian leaves to cherish his memory, His loving wife Anna Henderson, sister Paula Gipson, step daughter Charneese Barr (Phillip) and step son Ronnell Suggs Sr. (Junnie), brothers in law Robert Hardin (Veretta) and Joseph Hardin, God sons Damion Trout and Bishop James Howard Jr. (Mary), daughter Helen Williams, granddaughters Ja’Zmin Suggs, Da’Zhane Waters, Alondra Suggs, grandsons Ronnell Suggs Jr. (Anyea), Davonte Waters, and Asa Suggs, a special God sister Toni M. Oliver. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
