It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Ludetra Callahan, who left this world on April 24, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born in Abilene, Texas, on February 26, 1969, Ludetra’s life was marked by her devotion to family, her artistic spirit, and her unwavering love for music.
Ludetra was a woman whose heart was deeply rooted in the joys of family gatherings. She cherished those moments of togetherness, where laughter and stories were shared, and bonds were strengthened. Her love for singing and songwriting revealed the beautiful depth of her soul. With a delicate and passionate touch, she crafted melodies that spoke of life’s hopes and dreams. Her piano playing was an expression of her innermost feelings, a gift that brought comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of hearing her.
Her presence was a light to many, and her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will endure through the memories held by those who knew her. Ludetra’s spirit reflected a person who truly appreciated the harmonies of life, expressing them not only through music but through the warmth and care she extended to others.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ludetra’s life will be held on May 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Meadowbrook First Baptist Church, located at 6600 Ellis Road, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Following this, on May 13, 2026, her final resting place will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, with the burial beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In this time of mourning, those who loved Ludetra hold close the precious memories of her tender voice, her melodious piano notes, and the loving spirit that she shared so generously. Though she departs from this life, her soul and songs will resonate in the hearts of many for years to come.
