Lula Wallace, a beacon of love and warmth, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the remarkable age of 92. Born on November 19, 1933, Lula lived a life defined by her loving nature, caring spirit, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Known for her infectious happiness, she touched the hearts of everyone she met, fostering connections that will forever be cherished by her loved ones.

Lula Florence Wallace-Green’s first husband was Allen A. Wallace who proceed her in death and her second husband was Allen Green who also proceed her in death. Her parents were Nathaniel H. Smith and Lula A. Smith, both proceed her in death. Lula Florence was the first of three children. Her brothers were Nathaniel H. Smith Jr. and Arthur E. Smith, both proceeded her in death. The family lived in Belton, Texas before moving to Dallas. Lula and Allen Wallace had four children from this marriage, Gwendolyn Wallace-Nesbitt (Deceased), Wendell Cory Wallace (Deceased), Arthur Nathaniel Wallace (Deceased). She leaves to cherish her memory, Gregory Wayne Wallace, Sr (son), Gregory Wayne Wallace, Jr. (grandson), Jennifer Wallace and Jancie Wallace (both daughters-in-law), along with a host of relatives and friends. A special thanks to Pricilla Johnson who cared for our mother for the last 5 years of her life.

Lula Florence received her formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. She was a graduate Booker T. Washington High School and attended elementary school at B.F. Darrell.

Lula Florence worked two jobs most of her life to take care of her 4 children. She finished her career working at Senior Source in Dallas, assisting the elderly. She received honors and awards for her volunteer services from Feed the Children and Salvation Army.

Lula Florence was an avid reader all of her life. She enjoyed reading her bible daily, books on history and news articles on world events. She was a Deaconess at Dallas Fellowship Church. She enjoyed living life to the fullest and sharing her love for Jesus to anyone who would listen. She was baptized as a young child. She loved to watch her favorite TV game shows, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right.

Lula's life was a testament to the joy of companionship and the value of family. She often put the needs of those around her before her own, making sure to create a nurturing environment filled with laughter and love. Her joyful demeanor and empathetic heart made her a beloved figure in her community, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A viewing will be held to honor Lula's life on January 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A second viewing will take place at the same location on January 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing friends and family to pay their respects and celebrate the wonderful life Lula led.
