MARCUS DAWAYNE REED

Marcus Dawayne Reed, born on December 16, 1971, departed this earthly life on October 12, 2025. A master barber by trade, Marcus was known not just for his remarkable skills but also for the warmth and kindness he extended to all who entered his life. His career exemplified a dedication to his craft that earned him respect and admiration in the community.

Marcus was more than a talented barber; he was a blessing and a lesson to those around him. He embraced life wholeheartedly, holding dear his values and the relationships he fostered with family and friends. He was an individual who made it a point to keep in touch with loved ones, serving as a constant reminder of the importance of connection and support.

Life was a treasure for Marcus, and his love for God, family, and friends was evident in every action he took. His presence was a source of comfort, and he always reminded others that he would be at peace, fulfilling the promises he made during his time with them. He is survived by his mother, Recee Mae Reed; father, Billy James Murray; siblings, Davey Reed, Shannon Murray, Hortercia Ratcliffe, Rapheal Reed, and Candice Murray; and his beloved children, Neiman Demarcus Reed, Jamareau Bundred, Tamarkus Boatley, and Kararious Bell.

A visitation for Marcus will take place on October 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. This will be followed by a funeral service on October 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.
