Margaret Ann Johnson Beason was born in Dallas, Texas to the union of Henry Johnson and Jackie Johnson on September 30, 1946. She was the sibling of 13 children. She was affectionately called “Tossie” by her family and friends and Sister Margaret by her church family.
She was preceded in death by her (father) Henry Johnson and (Mother) Jackie Johnson; 12 siblings: brothers, Inez Johnson, James Floyd Johnson, Minor Johnson Jr, Willie Winfred Johnson, Lonnie Evanda Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Freddie Johnson; sisters, Melvina Johnson Williams, Henrietta Johnson, Jean Ester Johnson, Dorthy Mae Johnson, Lua Emma Johnson, Margaret Hamilton.
Margaret attended James Nelson Ervin Elementary School. She worked for many years helping caring for others. Later she became the caregiver for Mrs. Davis for many years until God called her home.
Margaret was married to late Johnny Beason, who preceded in death.
Margaret accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, under the leadership of Elder Frank Boston, Sr. of True Church of God in Christ and after his passing under the leadership of Pastor Donald Ray Jones.
On Wednesday the 9th, day of July 2025, Margaret Ann Johnson Beason, she heard the Master call her name. At that moment, she took wings of a morning dove and flew away to be at rest.
Margaret was a cheerful and pleasant person to be around. She was loved by everyone she knew. She was always outspoken, and witty. She had a smile that was pleasant and her laughter. She loved to cook, sing and enjoyed listening to her gospel songs. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Even in her days of illness she was very strong, even at the end she was happy.
Margaret leaves everlasting memories with: daughters, Stephanie Buckley (Fardon McGee), Tonia White Kirkendoll, (Michael Kirkendoll) and Jean E. Russell (preceded) her in death. One son Joe White Jr. (Debra Ann White); one special grandson, Timothy White Jr., whom she raised as her own son and gave him a good life. She had 15 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
