Mother Margaret R. Ransom was born on March 19, 1939 in Longstreet, Louisiana (Desoto County). She was saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost at the tender age of 9 years old.
Margaret met and married the love of her life, William Ransom on November 27, 1955. She served, faithfully, as a Truant Officer for Hill County. She retired from H.I.S.D., Hillsboro, Texas after 20 years of service.
Mother Ransom joined CHSC (Christ Holy Sanctified Church) and served 35 years under the leadership of Evangelist Alice Reed, Superintendent Robert L. Swain and Pastor Earnestine Ransom. She served 10 years under Apostle W. F. Hughes, Trinity Outreach Church & Power and Authority Tabernacle, Grand Prairie, Texas. She served 8 years under Pastor Renee Hornbuckle, Agape Christian Fellowship (Destiny Pointe Center), Arlington, Texas. Mother Ransom served 5 years under Pastor Marvin & Elect Lady Margie Davis, Totally Committed Christian Outreach Center, Duncanville, Tx.
Mother Margaret Ransom departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Carrollton Regional Medical Center in Carrollton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ransom; her parents, Mosie Lee (Becks) Wallace, Earnest Wallace (stepfather), Travis Lee Graves (biological father) and Melvie L. Graves (stepmother). Five sisters; Daisy Owens, Earnestine Ransom, Betty Gordon, Sandra Johnson, Christine Blanks. One brother; Earnest Wallace, Jr. One granddaughter, Roshun Asher, one great-great grandson, Riley Dancer.
Mother Ransom is survived by eight children, Margie Davis (Marvin), William Ransom (Doris), Willie Ransom (Shirlene), Joyce Walker (Leslie), Sarah Ransom, Mary Ransom, Linda Ransom (Greg), Rodney Ransom. Three adopted children, Deneen Cavett, Bishop (Dr.) Michael E. Williams, Pastor Michael Burks. Two aunts, who raised her as their own, Allie L. Doughtery and Pearlie V. Scott; Five siblings, Willie Troy Wallace, Clora Otems, Hollis Graves, Bobbie Perry and JoAnn Carroway. Ten grandchildren, Daniel Montgomery, Monica Davis-Swoopes (Antonio), Miranda Davis-Grant (Reshard), Kim Asher (Eric), Ebony Walker, La Toya Adams (Jonathan), Jasmine Henry, Jade Grant, Kendall Densman, Christian Henry. Great grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., De’Kiah Montgomery, Kelsey Harris, Kameron Johnson, Kaela Dimes, Eric Hall, Jr., Kobe Hall, Kennedy Hall. Great-great grandchildren, Makaila Swoopes, Mikael Swoopes, Alaiya Adams, Isaiah Adams, one great great-great-great grandchild Reece Straits. An extension of grandchildren through marriage and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
