Marlon Alfred Linton Sr., age 43, died unexpectedly on February 21, 2021, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital, Rowlett, Texas. He was born May 9, 1977, in Fort Worth, Texas to Marvin and Darlene Linton.
Marlon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at St Luke Baptist Church, Spencer, Oklahoma. Marlon graduated from Midwest City High School in Midwest City, Oklahoma where he was a member of the basketball and track team. He assisted the basketball team to the play-offs all four years he was there. Because of his talent with the basketball, Midwest City High School inducted him into their basketball Hall of Fame. Marlon received a basketball scholarship to attend Oklahoma Baptist University. After college, Marlon enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served 3 years before being medically discharged. Marlon was known for his love for his wife and children, basketball, the Philadelphia Eagles, and a deep love for beautiful saltwater aquariums.
Marlon married Courtney, the love of his life and soulmate, in March 2012, who survives him. He is also survived by his eight children Nadya Zanabria, Maleaha Hurd (son-in-law Christopher Hurd), Ayonna Linton, Kemaya Linton, Marlon Linton Jr., Peyton Linton, Jaheim Linton and Malik Linton; three grandchildren Easton Perry, Elsa Perry and Devonte King Fulce. He was a loving and devoted father and Grandpa. He loved his family very much and spent his spare time loving, teaching, training and spending time with them. He was always playing and training his son MJ the game of basketball or teaching his daughter Kemaya how to master running track.
He also leaves to cherish his precious memories: His parents Marvin and Darlene Linton; brother Christopher Linton Sr.; nieces Tyvia Linton, Christian Linton; nephew Christopher Linton Jr., Mother and Father-in-law Lance and Laurie Bean, sister-in-law Lindsey Bean, Brother and sister-in-law Clinton and Michelle Bean, nephews Tanner and Brady Bean, and a host of relatives and friends.
